Planning the Evaluation of Sponsored Research Projects

Location: UTSA Main Campus, JPL Assembly Room (JPL 4.04.22)

Description: Kurt Steuck, PhD, an external evaluator on several UTSA STEM education projects, will conduct a professional development workshop on planning the evaluations of sponsored projects. The overall goal of the workshop is to increase UTSA’s capacity to create the evaluation plans for proposals being submitted to Federal agencies, such as the National Science Foundation, and non-Federal funding agencies. At the end of the workshops, attendees will be more able to:

• Draft the required evaluation sections for the body of a proposal

• Draft a more detailed evaluation plan for the supplemental documents

• Estimate the costs for the project evaluation

• Interacting with an external evaluator, if one is needed
