Dear Colleague,
UTS is excited to announce that Microsoft Copilot—an enterprise AI-powered assistant tool—is now available for
full-time UTSA faculty and staff, and active students over the age of 18.
With Copilot, you can:
-
get answers quickly
-
create and revise content with ease
-
synthesize and reason over data
Why Copilot?
Microsoft Copilot offers the power of GPT-4 (a powerful AI large language model) with Microsoft’s stringent commercial data protection—meaning UTSA information is not being saved
or used to teach the AI. This is the safe way to use GPT-4 with UTSA data.
Currently, full-time UTSA faculty, staff, and students over the age of 18 are able to use Copilot in a web browser.
Student workers should log in to Copilot using their student @my.utsa.edu email address.
Other versions of Copilot, including Copilot for Windows (included in Windows 11) and Microsoft 365 Copilot (compatible with Microsoft 365 products like Word and Excel), are not currently available.
