Greetings Colleagues,
I hope that you had a great summer, HCAP and COEHD are partnering with San Antonio, Communities in Schools (https://www.cissa.org/)
to host the annual Whole Child Whole Community Conference on November 3rd. This conference serves as an opportunity for UTSA to build a relationship with CISSA and our local school systems.
A description of the conference can be found below as well as instructions for registering as an attendee or submitting
a proposal to be a presenter.

HCAP will provide scholarships for faculty/staff who would like to attend. Please let me know if you plan to register.

If you have students who would like to attend, please let me know so we can provide them with a scholarship.

Conference activities will occur on UTSA’s downtown campus.

As we begin a new school year, educators and youth service providers are searching for tools to support the whole child and their
mental health needs. School and community leaders are seeking to expand their knowledge to better advocate and address systemic barriers with hopes to build a more equitable future. Focusing on the whole child requires the whole community to
come together. As the largest mental health provider in schools, Communities In Schools of San Antonio is excited to invite you to attend the Whole
Child Whole Community Conference- a day dedicated to connecting,
healing, and belonging. In partnership with The University of Texas at San Antonio, we hope you will join us for this cross-sector collaborative effort to build an
equitable path for future generations. See below for more information about this special event taking place on Thursday, November 3rd and

here to register . Tickets are $100 per person ($50 per student) and the registration deadline is Friday, October 7th. Please
share this with your team and network.
Breakout session descriptions will be released as we get closer to the event. Session topics have been curated for Educators, Counselors, Youth Serving Program Staff, Community
Leaders, and Attorneys. Continuing Education Credits provided for eligible professionals.

Whole Child Whole Community Conference- a day dedicated to
connecting, healing, and belonging. In partnership with The University of Texas at San Antonio, we hope you will join us for this cross-sector collaborative effort
to build an equitable path for future generations. This year’s theme is Community: A Place to Connect, Heal, and Belong.
Our goal is to build the capacity of those who serve youth to improve youth mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
We invite you to submit a proposal for breakout sessions around one of the following themes:

Promoting Healing and Mindfulness

Shifting Systems to Promote Equity

Caring for the Caregiver
