Georgette Carrasco, alumna from the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, is one of the finalists in the Leadership Category for an H-E-B Excellence in Education award. Carrasco, who received her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from UTSA, is currently a special education coordinator and educator at Northside ISD's Kay Franklin Elementary School.
