UTSA temporarily modifies course delivery and operations for spring semester

As COVID-19 cases continue to surge locally, and we continue preparing for the upcoming semester, we wanted to update you on short-term
adjustments we will be making to keep our Roadrunner community safe. As always, we are committed to putting the health and safety of our entire campus community first. To uphold that commitment, we will begin the
spring semester virtually with most scheduled classes meeting online for three weeks, from January 18 through February 6.

UTSA to host annual MLK lecture on Jan. 19

The UTSA community will honor the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr. during the university’s annual MLK lecture on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Civil rights researcher Charles W. McKinney Jr. will deliver this year’s lecture, titled
“The Beautiful Struggle: What King can teach us about the 'fierce urgency of now." The lecture will be held virtually from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

COEHD's Student Success Center announces new director and hosts virtual grand opening

The College of Education and Human Development’s (COEHD) Student Success Center is excited to welcome new director Cassie Lopez.
The new COEHD Student Success Center, located in the Multidisciplinary Studies Building (MS 2.03.14B), is holding a virtual grand opening ceremony on Wednesday, Jan. 26, and will allow staff and students a glimpse of how the center continues to develop.

Spring 2022 semester brings bold new opportunities for UTSA
Classes begin today at UTSA, where more than 34,000 students are pursuing bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in a variety
of disciplines. The new semester begins on the heels of the university’s announcement last month that it has attained the prestigious Carnegie R1 classification, the highest designation for U.S. research institutions.

UTSA announces Spring 2022 Commencement dates
UTSA Commencement celebrations and activities will take place from May 12-15, with Commencement ceremonies currently planned for May 14 and 15 at the Alamodome.
