The African American Studies Program presents Community Conversation on Race and Education II featuring Dr. Denise M. Taliaferro Baszile, Associate Professor and Director, Diversity Initiatives, Miami University (OH).  This event will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015, 6 pm to 8:30 pm on the UTSA Main Campus in the Peter T. Flawn Science Building, 2.03.12.  The topic of Dr. Baszile’s lecture is “Where is the Love: Some Thoughts on Educating for Social Justice In/Through/Against Academia.

The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion.  Panelists will include Dr. Janee Avent, Assistant Professor, Department of Counseling, ReAnna S. Roby, Doctoral Fellow, Department of Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching, and Tasonia Hendrix, Wells Fargo Bank.
