2021 President’s Distinguished Achievement Awards

Below is the link to information on the 2021 President’s Distinguished Achievement Awards. There are nine award categories.

We would especially like to draw your attention to the Faculty Mentoring Award (https://www.utsa.edu/facultyawards/presidential-awards/faculty-mentoring.html) which is new this year.  The award is to honor faculty for their contributions and excellence in mentoring other faculty.  Faculty who serve as formal mentors to faculty colleagues in their departments and/or who have contributed to a Peer Mentoring Team as a mentor are eligible for this award.

Award Categories:

· Advancing Globalization

· Community Engagement

· Core Curriculum

· Faculty Mentoring Award (NEW)

· Innovation and Impact (I-Squared)

· Performance, Creative Production, or Other Scholarly Achievement

· Research Achievement

· Teaching Excellence

· University Service

Specific, relevant information, including each award’s expressed purpose, materials to be submitted for each nominee’s portfolio, and a list of former award recipients are available online. In addition to the appropriate nomination materials, each nomination packet must include a completed nomination form. The nomination form is attached.

The nomination packet for each award should consist of only the required materials, and assembled into a single PDF file in the order indicated.

COEHD Deadlines for Nominations:

Complete nomination packets for both awards listed above should be submitted electronically to Dr. Norma Guerra at norma.guerra@utsa.edu and Dr. Liliana Gutierrez, liliana.gutierrez@utsa.edu by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

The deadline for COEHD to submit the college nominations for these awards is Friday, February 12, 2021 (Not January 22^nd).
