Subject: Capt. Montalván and his Service Dog Tuesday presentation

Hello Dr. Oswalt,

I wanted to announce a great speaker who will be in the JPL's Assembly Room at the end of the month, Wed. Feb. 24, at 6:30 pm.

You are invited to a special presentation by New York Times bestselling author and former U.S. Army Captain Luis Carlos Montalván—accompanied by his service dog, Tuesday—as he shares his experiences of war and healing, trauma and recovery, mental health, and pursuing his higher degree.

This link provides more information on the event and Capt. Montalván: UTSA’s Wounded Warriors: Supporting our Student Veterans in their Pursuit of Higher Education

I hope that you will share this with your colleagues, department, and anyone else you think would be interested. This presentation is for faculty and staff, however if you know of any grad students or classes that would benefit from this opportunity, I ask that you share with them as well. I'd like a large receptive group to hear Capt. Montalván's story.

Many thanks,

Rachel
