ETS Research & Development |
ETS Research & Development (R&D) is now accepting applications for
the 2017–2018 Educational Testing Service (ETS) Internship and Fellowship Programs in R&D. These programs seek applicants interested in research opportunities who are enrolled in a doctoral program in the field of educational research, assessment or related
fields. Areas of emphasis include the following: psychometrics, validity, natural language processing and computational linguistics, cognitive and developmental psychology, learning sciences, linguistics, second language learning and teaching English as a
foreign language, speech recognition and processing, teaching and classroom research, statistics, educational data mining, and international large-scale assessments.

health pilot program for Texas foster kids underway |

A new pilot program led by Gov. Greg Abbott’s office aims to provide
specialized care and services for 500 of the most emotionally traumatized foster children in Texas. The governor’s criminal justice division and the state’s Department of Family and Protective Services announced Wednesday they are planning to spend $8 million
on a program for foster kids who are considered the most difficult to find permanent homes for.
