Dear COEHD faculty, staff

It gives me much pleasure to inform you that the outcome of the TEA desk review of UTSA COEHD EPP programs was very positive with respect to actions our programs are taking to improve educator preparation and operations. I want to express my sincere appreciation to all of you who gave time and expertise to making certain we meet and exceed expectations across the various components including governance, admission, curriculum, etc. All in all, it was meticulous, time absorbing work that in the end yielded deeper insights and clarity into our daily efforts to prepare the very best educators. In the letter, the TEA “thanks the EPP staff for all of the hard work put into the review.” Special thanks to our OPPP staff in Drs. Lindahl, Flores, & Kimberly Perez in addition to our department chairs Drs. Ryan, Flowers, Sanchez, and Juhnke for facilitating the coordination and painstaking collection of data and information. Let’s continue striving to build the model program for educator preparation. Birds Up!
