Department of Educational Psychology to offer new Ph.D. program in school psychology

The UTSA College of Education and Human Development today announced that its Department of Educational Psychology will launch a new Ph.D. program for school psychologists beginning in the fall of 2023. The new program will be the first of its kind in the San Antonio area and is designed to address the chronic shortage of licensed practitioners, researchers and faculty within the field of school psychology.

UTSA to offer new master’s degree in behavior analysis

The UTSA College of Education and Human Development is now accepting applications for summer and fall 2022 admittance to its Master of Science (M.S.) in Behavior Analysis program. The new degree program will prepare graduate students to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) who will provide support to people with and without disabilities such as autism in a variety of settings.

COEHD professor awarded seed grant for digital literacy and language lab benefiting San Antonio’s Westside community

M. Sidury Christiansen, Ph.D., an associate professor in the Department of Bicultural-Bilingual Studies (BBL) and 2021-2022 Next-Gen Provost Fellow for Academic Innovation, has been awarded a seed grant by the Westside Community Center to launch UTSA’s Adult Digital Literacy through Language Education (ADLLE) Community Lab. This program seeks to aid adults in the Westside community in becoming digitally literate and advance their language skills.
