Subject: [Coehd] Office of Professional Preparation and Preparation (OPPP) staff changes
Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to announce staff changes to the Office of Professional Preparation and Preparation (OPPP).
Dr. Lorena Claeys will be making a lateral move from her current position as the Director of Professional Learning Experience to now serve as the Director of The Academy
for Teacher Excellence Research Center. I truly appreciate Dr. Claeys’ seven years of service and dedication to the OPPP. In her former position, Dr. Claeys assisted with transforming clinical experience for our candidates. In her capacity, she worked closely
with our clinical supervisors to ensure our candidates were supported. I know that as the Director for The Academy for Teacher Excellence Research Center, she will continue to work closely with faculty, students, and our community partners in designing high
impact programming.
I am also pleased to announce that Dr. Youmna Dbouk, who was formally our Director of Pre-Clinical Experiences, has been hired as the Director of Professional Clinical
Experiences. For the last seven years, in her former position, Dr. Dbouk was instrumental in digitizing field logs, streamlining placement process with our partner school districts, and creating a pre-clinical observation instrument. Again, I am most appreciative
of her dedication and service in her former position and look forward to working with Dr. Dbouk in her new capacity.
