Please join me in celebrating April as the Month of the Military Child, and consider including the following no-cost opportunities for our students: 

1. We have an excellent team of speakers who are willing to come to our courses for a presentation on the experiences of military children. If you wish to make arrangements for such a class visit, please let me know and I'll connect you with the presenters.

2. On April 15 is national “Purple Up!” Day. Essentially, this is an event that is intended to signal support for military youth by wearing purple that day. It would be wonderful if you could invite your students to wear purple that day, and do so yourselves, and take a class picture of the whole group. I would like to post as many as possible of these to our Center Facebook page.
