IES Releases FY2016 Funding Announcement for Research Networks Focused on Critical Problems of Education Policy and Practice (CFDA 84.305N)
|
The Institute of Education Sciences requests applications to form Research Networks Focused on Critical Problems of Education Policy and Practice. The networks are designed to focus
resources and attention on education issues that are high priority for the nation, and to create a structure and process for researchers who are working on these issues to share ideas, build new knowledge, and strengthen their research and dissemination capacity.
For FY 2016, the Institute invites proposals on two topics:
• Supporting Early Learning from Preschool Through Early Elementary School Grades (Early Learning Network)
• Scalable Strategies to Support College Completion (College Completion Network)
The Early Learning Network will gather and analyze data to identify malleable factors associated with children's school readiness and achievement as they move from preschool to elementary school. It will also develop or improve a classroom observation tool
for use by practitioners interested in assessing and improving the quality of instruction and services. The College Completion Network will evaluate the impacts and determine the costs of strategies designed to support increased degree attainment among students
attending open- and broad-access institutions.
