students receive 2018 University Life Awards |
Two students from the UTSA College of Education and Human Development recently received 2018 University Life Awards. Cristina Carrillo, graduate student in the Department of Educational Psychology, received the Most Outstanding Graduate Student in the College
of Education and Human Development award. Leslie Hernandez, undergraduate student and president of the Bilingual Education Student Organization (BESO), received the Most Outstanding Undergraduate Student in the College of Education and Human Development award.

The UTSA Housekeeping Staff’s Erlinda’s Wish Program members have created a collection of cookbooks filled with recipes,
“dichos,” home remedies, and stories including family and regional recipes handed down from generation to generation.
Join us as we celebrate on Wednesday, May 2 from 4-6 pm in the JPL Assembly Room (4.04.22). Meet the contributors to the collection and sample recipes from their cookbooks, enjoy a celebration of this special event, and welcome the newest addition to the UTSA

and a startling picture emerged: All the superintendents at the table were male. In Bexar County’s 15 public school districts, only one woman serves as superintendent while more than 70 percent of teachers and the majority of principals are female.
