professor selected as AAHHE faculty fellow |
Dr. Victor Villarreal, assistant professor in the Department of Educational Psychology, has been selected as a 2018 Faculty Fellow by the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE). Each year, AAHHE selects 10 fellows from a competitive pool
of junior faculty across the nation to participate in the AAHHE national conference and Faculty Fellows Program. Villarreal will be attending the 13th annual conference, featuring the theme “Latina/o Students: Policy, Assessment and Academic Preparation for
Success,” March 8-10, 2018, in Irvine, Calif. Villarreal will present his work at the conference, receive mentoring from other scholars in the field, and work with graduate student fellows from other universities. (Courtesy of Dr. Victor Villarreal, EDP)

NTEP
to Shut down Boilers and Steam Supply on Nov 4th |
|
The North Thermal Energy Plant (NTEP) will shut down boilers and steam supply to the ART, BB, BOS, BSB, BSE, CC, EB, FLN,
JPL, Main, MH, MS, PE, RWC and UC from 12:01 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on November 4, 2017 for leak repairs and boiler upgrades. The outage will affect comfort heating (except BSE), domestic hot water for dishwashing, washing machines, showers, cage washers and
autoclaves. Steam service to these buildings will be restored immediately following completion of work on Nov 4th. For additional information contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262. |

program with TU-Darmstadt in Germany. The MOU signing is part of a greater cultural mission between the City of San Antonio and the City of Darmstadt to build cultural and educational bridges through a sister cities agreement.

learning and academic performance. Fifty-one percent of children in public schools live in low-income households, and when poverty levels exceed 50 percent, there’s a significant drop in academic performance across all grade levels. At the same time, 25 percent
of all adolescents—including 30 percent of adolescent girls—are experiencing anxiety disorders.

College of Education and Human Development’s Department of Counseling hosted the 41st annual conference of the Biofeedback Society of Texas on Saturday, October 21 at the UTSA Downtown Campus.

from the College of Education and Human Development's TEAM Autism Research Center spent the afternoon trick-or-treating around the Durango Building at the UTSA Downtown Campus.
