Dear Colleagues,

On Thursday, September 12th at 2pm, The College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University-San Antonio will be hosting an invited presentation by Dr. Edward L. Browne from the US Virgin Islands. Dr. Browne will be speaking in the Science and Technology Building (Room 242) about the Global College Promise Movement. As an educator, human rights activist, and scholar, Dr. Browne is working to advance the international college promise movement and is a champion for restorative justice and decolonization. Dr. Browne will be speaking about the history of free tuition; free tuition initiatives around the globe; the Tennessee Promise & Tennessee Reconnect; the Alamo Promise; pros and cons of free tuition; and experiential, existential, and future oriented learning. He has been an invited speaker on several occasions for the United Nations 4th Committee.

The event is free and open to faculty, staff, students, and guests.
