Since the late 1980s, Women’s History Month has celebrated the contributions women have made to history, culture, and society and has recognized the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history. The UTSA theme for Women’s History
Month 2023 is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.”
At UTSA, the Women’s
Studies Institute has proudly hosted one of the country’s largest Women’s History Month campus celebrations over the past decade and a half. Guided by an annual theme, the month-long series features scholars, award-winning authors, filmmakers, and community
leaders. Events are open to the public and so they connect hundreds of students from across campus to the larger San Antonio community.
