The White House Initiative on Education Excellence for Hispanics will host its monthly webinar on Wednesday, August 20th at 2pm EDT/11am PDT.  This month’s subject is Hispanic Teacher Recruitment and will include presenter Dr. Belinda Flores, Chair of Bicultural-Bilingual Studies for The University of Texas at San Antonio’s (UTSA) College of Education and Human Development (COEHD).

Theodorea Berry named director of AAS program

The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Education and Human Development has named Dr. Theodorea Regina Berry, associate professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching, as director of the African American Studies (AAS) Program. The AAS program is housed in the college’s Consortium for Social Transformation.

Pre-K 4 SA’s Final Two Centers Prepare To Open

(TPR) -- The East education center, off Eisenhauer Road, is one of two new centers opening this fall. Construction workers hurried up and down the halls this week, carrying drills and popping in and out of classrooms.
