Hello everyone,
It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Kristina Talamantez, Student Development Specialist in
Counseling, last day with COEHD is Monday, July 24th.
Kristina started as one of the original Student Development Specialists (SDS) back in November 2005 after graduating from UTSA a few years prior with a BA in American Studies and later completing
a master’s degree in counseling from Texas A&M Kingsville. In 2005 Kristina began her COEHD career within the Department of Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching as the SDS for the Department. In 2007, Kristina transitioned to the Department of Counseling
(or at that time the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Adult and Higher Education). Kristina quickly became a critical part of the department and has assisted thousands of students to graduate and pursue their LPCs, certifications in school
counseling, and careers in counselor education and supervision.
We want to thank Kristina for her dedicated almost 18 years of service to the college and
wish her continued success in her new role as a third grade teacher in East Central ISD!
