AERA
announces its Fall 2017 AERA Grants Program competition |
AERA is currently accepting proposals for both Dissertation and Research Grants until Friday, September 15, 2017. Proposals are encouraged from a variety of disciplines, such as but not limited
to, education, sociology, economics, psychology, demography, statistics, and psychometrics.
AERA
Dissertation Grants. AERA provides dissertation support for advanced doctoral students to undertake doctoral dissertations using data from the large-scale national or international data sets supported by the NCES, NSF, and/or other federal agencies.
The selection process is competitive. AERA Dissertation Grants are awarded for one-year for an amount of up to $20,000. The next application deadline is Friday, September 15, 2017.

Research Grants. AERA provides small grants for faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and other doctoral-level scholars to undertake quantitative research using data from the large-scale national or international data sets supported by the
NCES, NSF, and/or other federal agencies. The selection process is competitive. AERA Research Grants are awarded for one or two years, for an amount of up to $35,000. The next application deadline is Friday, September 15, 2017. |

Tobin
Ave. Lane Closure - August 10, 2017 |

A portion of the eastbound lane of Tobin Ave., behind the Road Runner Café, will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on August 10, 2017, for work associated with new Tobin parking lot. The
westbound lane will remain open and flag staff will be on site to direct vehicular traffic. The road will reopen to two lanes immediately following the completion of work. For additional information, please refer to the attached map or contact the Facilities

Ximenes
Avenue at UTSA Boulevard Closed Aug 16th |

The Ximenes Avenue intersection, both inbound and outbound lanes, at UTSA Boulevard will be shut down on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for the final phase of realignment
work. Alternate access to and from the south side of campus includes Barshop Boulevard at UTSA and Bauerle Road at UTSA. The intersection will reopen on Aug 16th at 5:00 p.m. For additional information contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262. |

Campus: SEB Construction Updates |

Construction of the new Science and Engineering Building (SEB) continues through the start of the fall semester. The greenbelt east of the BSE and adjacent to the ART, service drive entrance
at the ART and portions of Bauerle Road Lot 1, Ford Avenue Lot and Ximenes Avenue Lot remain closed. Beginning August 21, 2017 access to Paseo del Sur via south of campus, nineteen additional parking spaces in the Bauerle Road Lot 1 and twelve additional parking
spaces in the Ford Avenue Lot will be available. Pedestrian signage including directional, detour and alternate ADA route, to and from the plaza level via the ART elevators, have been installed throughout the construction site. Temporary sidewalks have also
been installed along Bauerle Road between the ART and Paseo del Sur to assist with pedestrian detours. All closures will remain cordoned off with construction fencing. For additional information please reference the attached map or contact the Facilities Service
