NSF CAREER Webinars and Workshops

NSF CAREER Workshop with AtKisson Training Group (Parts 1 & 2)
An NSF CAREER award application is more than an NSF Standard Grant with an education plan added in. Highly competitive awards integrate the research and education plan. In this two-part seminar we talk about why and how to create a plan that results in a competitive proposal. Participants must register for and attend both sessions.

Developing Outreach and Broader Impacts for NSF with Lucy Deckard
Workshop for faculty on how to develop strong outreach and education components to meet NSF’s broader impacts requirements. (Not that emphasis will not be on education components for CAREER proposals.)

NSF CAREER ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Proposers must meet all of the following eligibility requirements as of the annual deadline:

Hold a doctoral degree in a field supported by NSF;
Be engaged in research in an area of science, engineering, or education supported by NSF;
Hold at least a 50% tenure-track (or tenure-track-equivalent) position as an assistant professor (or equivalent title);
Be untenured; and
Have not previously received a CAREER award. (Prior or concurrent Federal support for other types of awards for non-duplicative research does not preclude eligibility.)
