Colleagues,

As discussed at the Travel Council meeting on November 19, 2013, International SOS has agreed to offer credit monitoring services through CSID for those individuals that may have had personal information exposed in the data breach.    As a result of inquiries and discussions on this issue, International SOS agreed to offer this enhanced service to UT Travelers.   This is in addition to the identity theft protection that was offered in the notification that went out on October 16, 2013.

It is important to stress that there has not been an expanded or a new breach.

There were only about 400 people who took advantage of the original offer for ID protection.   This new offer is being extended to the entire group of UT System travelers (approximately 12,000) who received the original notification.   They will have 90 days to take advantage of the new offer.    The 400 people who did enroll in the original ID protection will need to enroll in this as well if they want this service.

This enhanced service includes the following:

As you may recall, my personal information was potentially exposed in this breach.  CSID has provided me a PIN and I have tested the enrollment site and experienced no problems.

The following email will be going out at the end of next week from CSID.

CSID

Dear [insert first name and last name],

International SOSRecently, you received notification from CSID on behalf of International SOS regarding a recent data breach incident affecting some International SOS members including some University of Texas System travelers.

As noted in that communication, to help you protect your identity we had proactively partnered with CSID to provide one year of comprehensive Global ID Protector coverage, at no cost to you. CSID’s comprehensive Global ID Protector coverage offers multiple layers of protection to ensure the integrity of your identity and personal information.

We are writing now to inform you that we have added eligibility for one year of Credit Monitoring, also at no cost to you. This service uses near real time monitoring from the credit bureaus to determine if any new changes have appeared on your credit report (i.e. new derogatory account, new inquiry, late payment, etc).

If you want to add this service to your existing coverage, or if you have not signed up yet and want to be enrolled, you must contact CSID at the numbers below. Please be certain to use the phrase “activate my credit monitoring” during your call with the agent.

CSID Member Services is available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, at the phone numbers below.

+1 855-882-2743 = callers within the US, Canada and Caribbean

+1 512-505-2564 = callers from outside the US, Canada and Caribbean (can receive collect calls)

CSID will then provide you with a PIN number and instructions on how to activate these services at http://csid.com/IntlSOS3B1. The PIN code can only be used once, cannot be transferred to another individual and must be activated within 90 days of this notification. Should you have any further questions please contact us at either of the phone numbers listed above.

Sincerely,

The International SOS Client Services Team
