It is with great sadness to inform you of the recent passing of Dr. Ben Ligon who was an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Counseling Department. Dr. Ligon was a graduate of the
Ph.D. program in Counselor Education and Supervision here at UTSA. He devoted his life to helping others. We are saddened by the news and share our condolences and sympathies with Dr. Ligon’s family and loved
ones. As an academic community, we strive to be sensitive to the difficulty, stress, and pain caused by loss. Grief assistance will be provided to you as needed. We will share service information for Dr. Ligon once received.
