in Washington, D.C.  Friday, April 8th 2016, at Noon to 2:00 p.m. with Reception to follow.

Dr. Fishman is world famous as the founding father of Sociolinguistics.

Our American Educational Research Association SIG on Research and Reading and Literacy has organized this event in cooperation with the AERA Headquarters and the Center

for Applied Linguistics as well as numerous AERA groups.

Please distribute this announcement to colleagues and students who may be attending AERA on April 8th.
