Faculty have shared that too often the undergraduate and graduate student Research Assistants (RAs) who have worked for them lacked basic research skills they needed to be useful to faculty. In response to this issue--viz. to help make your RAs more valuable and helpful to you this semester--and to create better equipped student researchers (Strategic Focus 4 of the College Research Committee Report: Support students' research skills), the Office of the Dean would like to provide training to Research Assistants in January and February of 2019. We need to know what types of skillsets your RAs need to assist you with on your specific projects this Spring. Please use this survey to provide us guidance.
