Hispanic Outlook on Education Magazine has ranked UTSA’s Bicultural Bilingual Studies program in the top 10 schools in the country for bilingual, multilingual, and multicultural education.

UTSA’s Teacher Preparation Program recognized by the NCTQ

The work of faculty in the Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching and Bicultural-Bilingual departments has led to national recognition of UTSA’s teacher preparation program by the National Council on Teacher Quality, a research and policy organization that is committed to modernizing the teaching profession.

Data shows that 82% of the U.S. population lives in urban areas, and it is projected that the percentage will increase to 90% by 2050. The size of the populations in urban centers is creating demands that overwhelm the capacity of infrastructures, particularly in times of distress.
