Dear Colleagues,

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Lucila Ek, Professor in BBL, on her being the recipient of the Dr. Bertha Perez Distinguished Endowed Professorship in Biliteracy. Dr. Ek will work across programs in the college and in the community to build a strong research agenda in this area, advancing UTSA's prominence in this field. Additionally, her work will directly impact our communities and schools, making a positive difference for Pk-12 grade students, teachers, and leaders. I look forward to Dr. Ek's work in this area.
