Season Opening on Sunday 13 October 7 PM

Gurwitz 2024 Audience Favorite and Silver Medalist Tatiana Dorokhova returns to San Antonio to open the 27th concert season of Russell Hill Rogers Musical Evenings at San Fernando Cathedral.


Dorokhova's spectacular piano program will feature two solo works, “Islamey” by Mily Balakirev and "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Mussorgsky, and a reprise of her Gurwitz Round III performance of El Colibrí y la Cempasúchil” composed by San Antonio local Dr. Aaron Prado. This ensemble piece will feature a quintet of local Texas artists led by Gabriela Jiménez from the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra.
