COEHD Recent News: COEHD alumna named president of TACUSPA by Jo Ann Jones, COEHDnews Editor    |    October 16, 2014 Dr. Lisa McDougle, College of Education and Human Development alumna, was named the 2014-2015 president of the Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators (TACUSPA). McDougle assumed the presidency during the 2014 TACUSPA conference in Arlington, Texas.  Full Story UTSA researchers find ways to help Latino students be successful in higher education by Marissa Villa, University Communications    |    October 15, 2014 The UTSA Center for Research and Policy in Education released a report focused on Latino student success that finds ways to help this typically underserved population. Both graduate and undergraduate students were selected to join based on their outstanding academic achievements. Jacqueline Parsons honored for community service at White House Jacqueline Parsons - Counseling Rotary International District 5840   Dr. Jacqueline Parsons, adjunct professor in the College of Education and Human Development’s Department of Counseling, was honored for her service to the community at the White House on Tuesday, Oct. 7 during Rotary Day 2014. She was one of 10 women who received Rotary International’s Women of Action award by the Obama Administration. After several years of modest growth, hiring is expected to jump a whopping 16 percent for newly minted degree-holders in 2014-15, according to key findings from Recruiting Trends.
