Dear Jerry,

I made my semi-monthly pilgrimage to Austin this morning, banged my head against the Texas Education Agency wall, and came away with nothing but a headache. I have too little time left to spend it arguing with bureaucrats or jumping through hoops to send them useless data. There must be a bike shop somewhere that needs a part-time mechanic. A kid on two wheels would at least be evidence my work mattered.

Thanks,

Mike

Subject: [Coehd] COEHD Announcement

Dear COEHD community:

It is with mixed emotions to announce our Director for Assessment and Program Accountability, Dr. Michael Vriesenga, will be retiring from his role effective August 31. Dr. Vriesenga has served COEHD for 6 years. During which time he monitored all affairs relative to TEA accreditation and compliance in addition to providing faculty and students valuable assistance and support. We will miss Michael’s analytical skill and depth of knowledge and awareness of legislation and the policy environment. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Vriesenga and wishing him well on the next chapter of his journey.

Mario
