For nine years UTSA has hosted a daylong African American Studies Spring Symposium on our UTSA Main Campus. 

We are doing it again this year, and we hope that you and your students will join us for an exciting line up of speakers and performances. 

The Power of Story: African American Autobiography & Life Writing

We align the day’s schedule with the UTSA class schedule. We provide sign-in sheets for your students. We will get the sheets to you so that you have a record of those in attendance. Attending co-curricular activities may bolster student retention, so it is more than extra credit. Let’s be sure we encourage students (and everyone) to attend this event and others.
