Celebrating the 2019 Annual Texas Language Education Research (TexLER) Conference hosted by UTSA

The 2019 TexLER celebrated the 20th Annual Texas Language Education Research Conference at the UTSA Downtown Campus this past weekend, where the conference on 21st Century Literacies and Critical Approaches for Social Transformation discussed instructional methods, assessments, and research approaches that assisted in reflecting upon the functionality of the current conceptions of language, learning, and production of knowledge.

Dr. Tanya J. Gaxiola Serrano, assistant professor in the COEHD Educational Leadership Studies department, was one of 30 participants chosen for the Early Career Workshop by the Council for the Advancement of Higher Education Programs (CAHEP) at this year’s Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) conference.
