Dear COEHD Scholars of Educational Research,

It is with great pleasure that I once again invite you to attend the UTSA COEHD Reception at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Conference in Chicago, April 13, 2023, Thursday 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the Plenary Session at the Swissotel, 323 East Wacker Drive in the Amuse Bar, on the main floor, right side, of the Hotel Lobby.

COEHD faculty, graduate students, undergraduates, those who have taken positions at other schools but once studied or taught at UTSA, friends of the COEHD are welcome! Note that AERA has 14,000 members. As you know,

our College has been designated as an R1 and is attracting faculty researchers from across the world. This Reception will include a toast to honor our community and specifically UTSA presenters at the Conference. Please share this information with the above individuals. Note we will be listed in the official AERA Program. With 160 Special Interest Groups (SIG’s), you have much to contribute and enjoy. If you cannot attend this year, place AERA on your agenda for 2024.

Dean Mario Torres has offered to cover hors d’oeuvres at the event.
