EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S COLUMN   Congratulations and thanks are in order to the newly elected NABE Regional Executive Board members who will begin serving from July 1, 2016 - to June 30, 2019 NABE  I am pleased to announce the Winners of the NABE 2016 Regional Executive Board Elections. Board members will begin serving their (3) year term effective July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2019. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on July 2 in Puerto Rico at the Dual Language Symposium. The Board elections were conducted and certified electronically by SimplyVoting.  The newly elected board members are: Eastern Region:  Dr. Margarita Pinkos Central Region:   Dr. Maria Guadalupe Arreguin-Anderson Western Region: Dr. Ivannia Soto (Withdrew due to Illness)  NABE extends sincere thanks of appreciation to all of the highly qualified candidates who graciously offered their time, energy, talents, and courageous leadership to serve on the NABE Executive Board to continue our legacy of success and advocacy on behalf of our Bilingual/Multilingual ELs. The NABE Team welcomes the new leadership and looks forward to working very collaboratively and professionally in guiding NABE through many new challenges and opportunities that have made us a stronger and more effective organization over the past 45 years.  Si se puede!
