Roadrunners,

Freezing rain and sleet continue to impact many areas of the San Antonio metro area and the surrounding Hill Country. Due to this, all UTSA classes will continue to shift to remote learning through 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2. At that time, UTSA will return to normal operations.

Continue to use caution and avoid traveling in icy conditions. As ice collects on trees, it results in heavy branches that are at risk for breaking or falling. If you must travel today, be aware of your surroundings. Watch for damaged trees, fallen power lines, or ice on roads or sidewalks, whether you are on or off campus.

UTSA will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates on campus operations and classes as needed. Updates will be posted on UTSA Today and on the university’s official social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Please continue to monitor local news sources as the cold front moves through San Antonio, as weather conditions are subject to change.

Stay warm and safe!
