Good morning,
Dr. Solis sent the calendar invite on behalf of the UTeachSA program for a meeting that will take place on Monday, Feb 13, at 1 pm at the DTC. It was a kindness on Dr. Solis' part to do so after I had sent out the information via the COHED list, and I thank him for it.
The purpose of the UTeachSA meeting is to open conversations across the college regarding the shaping of what the UTeach model, a 20-year old program developed at UT Austin for the preparation of secondary STEM teachers and since then adopted across 45 institutions, into a program that serves our local community in optimal ways, and that we have ownership of, rather than simply run a franchise of.
The meeting is open to all at UTSA, and is one of a series of meetings that will be equally open to our community. There is no mandatory participation, only an invitation to join us.
Upcoming meetings are:
Carmen Fies, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, STEM Education & Instructional Technology, COEHD-Department of Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching
Associate Professor, Chemistry Education, COS-Department of Chemistry
