Dear Colleagues,

 Please join me in thanking and congratulating Dr. Page Smith for his work as Associate Dean for Graduate Studies. Dr. Smith has worked to ensure that the graduate programs within the COEHD are strong and effective. Dr. Smith has let me know that he will be stepping down from this position as of September 1, 2016 and returning to his faculty position. His commitment and dedication to the College, UTSA, and our students has been evident in all of his work. I wish him the best as he returns to his faculty activities.

As this point, I am requesting applications from interested parties. If you are interested in serving the COEHD in this capacity, please send me your CV and a cover letter with your (1) relevant experiences, (2)  knowledge of and vision for the position, and (3) a brief discussion of the goodness of fit . As September 1 is fast approaching,  I ask that  interested parties please  submit these materials electronically by Monday, August 15 with Karen Hoskins copied. I hope to have a person in place by the last week of August so there is a bit of time to meet with Dr. Smith and the  team for a debriefing and status report on issues related to Graduate Studies and ensure a smooth transition.
