receives Communities in Schools Award
The Department of Bicultural-Bilingual Studies received an award for Outstanding College Partnership from Communities in Schools - San Antonio. The award recognized the ELL Tutoring/Mentoring Program, which was a service learning project for the ESL 3023 and
3063 classes. Tatiary Ozuna, who tutored at Carrillo Elementary School in the South San Antonio Independent School District, received the College Student Volunteer of the Year Award from Communities in Schools - San Antonio. Pictured left to right are Ron

Rachel Star Withers runs a YouTube channel where she performs goofy stunts on camera and talks about her schizophrenia. Since 2008, when the then 22-year-old revealed her diagnosis online, tens of thousands of people have seen
her videos. Some of them have a psychotic disorder or mood disorders themselves, or know people who do.
