IN PERSON Stammtisch morgen 15-16 Uhr / German conversation hour tomorrow 3-4pm

Hallo zusammen, Thanks to all of you who attended Oktoberfest on Monday. It was lovely meeting some of you in person and connecting over Spaghettieis, trivia and polkas. I hope to see you again tomorrow (Thursday) from 3-4pm at the in person Stammtisch <https://colfa.utsa.edu/modern-languages/german-club> / German conversation hour. We will be meeting again at El Rincon, the corner in front of the MH Building closest to the JPL Library. This is an informal space where we can speak German and discuss German-related topics in English. All language levels are welcome! One thing I'd like to discuss is your interest in a faculty-led study abroad program to Germany for summer 2023. I started creating a program in Dresden for 2020, which was cancelled for the pandemic. I'm considering reviving this and perhaps combining it with programing from the university in our sister city, Darmstadt. Oktoberfest next Monday

Dear German list subscribers, Please join my family and I next Monday from 1-4pm in the Denman Ballroom. My husband, Dr. B, teaches courses in data science. My son, Leo, wants to meet everyone! There will be brats and (non-alcoholic) beer, Spaghetti ice cream, live funny accordion polka music, a panel of German-affiliated faculty, and Dr. B moderating Germany trivia. If you can, I recommend you stay for the film screening 4-6pm of Goodbye, Lenin. in-person Stammtisch on Thursday 3-4pm, DAAD photo contest

Hallo zusammen, We have our first in-person Stammtisch <https://colfa.utsa.edu/modern-languages/german-club> conversation hour this Thursday 3-4pm at the new Modern Languages outdoor space, El Rincón. This is outside at the southeast corner of the McKinney Humanities Building nearest the Sombrilla and the library. (See the website for a map). My colleague from the Office of Global Initiatives and I are looking forward to meeting some of you in person! Last week, two exchange students from our German sister city, Darmstadt, gave us their first impressions of San Antonio and we had a nice discussion comparing student life.
