Monday Night Fútbol | Cultural Film + Community Experience at Beethoven Männerchor
Monday Night Fútbol is a monthly cultural film series that brings the global story of the FIFA World Cup to life through official
tournament films, meaningful dialogue, and community connection. Select activations are hosted at the historic Beethoven Männerchor — one of San Antonio’s most iconic German cultural institutions — creating a unique space where international sport, history,
and heritage intersect.
For students of German language, culture, and global studies, this is more than a screening. It is an opportunity to:
- Experience international storytelling through sport
- Engage in cross-cultural community dialogue
- Connect with San Antonio’s German heritage in a living cultural venue
- Expand global awareness leading into the 2026 FIFA World Cup
- Network with professionals, creatives, and community leaders
- Enjoy a welcoming, relaxed environment with free entry and downtown parking
Whether attending for cultural enrichment, global perspective, or community engagement, Monday Night Fútbol offers students a
real-world extension of the classroom — where language, identity, and international connection come alive.
Students are invited to attend at Beethoven Männerchor (422 Pereida Street, San Antonio, TX 78210) for upcoming screenings. The
attached activation calendar outlines all remaining events leading into the 2026 FIFA World Cup. We encourage students to mark their calendars, attend with classmates, and experience global soccer culture in one of San Antonio’s most historic German venues.
