Hallo zusammen,

Hope you had a good slide into the new year! (Germans say "guten Rutsch").

Are you still thinking about your spring courses? See below and the attached fliers for two new offerings.

Also, I am reviving the German Engineering Track, also described below. If you're not in engineering, feel free to share with your engineering friends!

Viele Grüße,
Dr. D

Note for engineering students: We plan to revive the German / Engineering Track by offering core courses that do not add additional credit hours to the Engineering major. You can earn the following core credits through the German Program.

  • GER 1014, Elementary German I, counts for the Language, Philosophy, and Culture (040) Core component and will get you ready for the UTSA summer program in Germany! Offered spring 2024 and fall 2024.
  • HUM 2033, Introduction to the Humanities II – Engineering, counts for the Creative Arts (050) Core component and will be offered as an excursions-based study abroad course in Dresden. Coming summer 2025!

With this experience, you can later apply to work in Germany through a RISE Internship (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) or the new Skilled Immigration Act
