Hello all,
The Dean’s office has opened scholarships for 2024/2025. Please share with your students and faculty. All scholarships are open as of today (7/18) and close on Saturday, August 3 at 5pm. Students can find them in the Scholarship Hub, or through the direct links included below.
Ernest and Aimee Bromley Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Liberal Arts

• Must be an *undergraduate* student with a declared a major in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts
• Recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours and actively pursuing a degree in Liberal Arts in the College. An exception to full-time enrollment may be granted by the Dean on a case-by-case basis when the student is not required to take a full course load to graduate, provided the student is enrolled in a minimum of six credits hours.
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Kangaroo Court Restaurants of Texas Inc. Annual Scholarship in Liberal Arts

• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student with a declared major in a liberal arts discipline within COLFA. Current liberal arts undergraduate majors in COLFA are: American Studies, Anthropology, Communication, English, French, German, History, Humanities, Philosophy, Classical Studies, Geography, Political Science,and Spanish.
**Art and Art History and music majors are not eligible for this scholarship.
• Must have and maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA at the time of application and award year and be enrolled full time (12 hours for undergrad and 9 hours for grads) during the year in which the award is received.

Hewitt Family Annual Scholarship in COLFA

• Must be enrolled full-time status (minimum of 12 semester credit hours for undergraduates and 6 semester credit hours for graduate students)
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Recipients must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours and must demonstrate leadership capabilities in their school and community through volunteer efforts
Alameda/UTSA Endowed Museum Internship

This internship award shall be provided to a full-time or part-time GRADUATE student enrolled in a graduate program in Anthropology, Art History or History.
Funds distributed from the endowment shall be used each year to fund an internship at the:
•Smithsonian Institute, Washington, D.C.
•UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures
•Kennedy Center
•or other cultural institutions as deemed appropriate by the Dean of College of Liberal and Fine Arts
The internship award shall be provided to a full-time or part-time graduate student enrolled in a graduate program in Anthropology, Art History or History.
Preference will be given to students who have completed at least 20 credit hours toward their master's degree. In consultation with the graduate advisers of record, applicants are responsible for making internship arrangements.
Amount of award varies depending on funds available. Past awards have been approximately $1,000, and are awarded just prior to the start of the internship.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Completed Application
Essay - a 500-word narrative proposing the organization where they expect to complete their internship. The narrative should explain how the internship experience fits into their academic development and area of study, and what they hope to gain from the experience.
