Hallo zusammen,

I hope you've all survived finals and are ready to wind down the year.

There's a Christmas service held in German this weekend. It's a neat event.

Viele Grüße,

The 120th San Antonio Deutsche Weihnachtsfeier will take place on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Margarite B. Parker Chapel on the campus of Trinity University.

The Christmas story is told entirely in the German language using scripture, German Christmas poetry, prayers, choral and congregational singing, and instrumental music. Come and sing Stille Nacht, O Tannenbaum, and other Christmas carols in German! Words and music provided!

The Beethoven Männerchor and the San Antonio Liederkranz choirs will perform. The celebration usually lasts 75 minutes.

Arrive early to hear Dr. David Heller’s prelude on the magnificent chapel organ (begins at 5:00 p.m.).

This traditional annual celebration is open to the public, family-friendly, and free. A voluntary cash collection will be taken up to cover costs. Stay for Christmas cookies and conversation after the event. The Schnitzel Box German food truck will also be there.

The German Weihnachtsfeier Society of San Antonio looks forward to welcoming you to this celebration. For more information, visit www.saweihnachtsfeier.org, email saweihnachtsfeier@gmail.com, or call 210-264 6749.
