Hallo zusammen,
We will have Stammtisch this week at the regular time, but it is cancelled for
Thanksgiving week.
Also, is anyone interested in participating in the COLFA Research Conference and Showcase?
See below for details.
Viele Grüße,

Subject: Language at Annual COLFA Research Conference and Showcase
Colleagues:
I wanted to let you know that we've decided by unanimous and enthusiastic vote to
bring back the languages showcase as part of the Annual COLFA Research Conference and
Showcase. The language speeches and Commedia del Arte last year were big hits. This year
we want more. So please let me know if you have students or student groups who we might
feature in the hour allotted us.
The official conference dates are Wednesday and Thursday, March 20-21, 2024.
Just as a reminder, last year we had speeches in Korean and Japanese from students at
various levels of proficiency, followed by a one act play in the Commedia del Arte
tradition that combined French, Italian, and English and brought down the house. Along
those lines we're looking for anything that highlights the impressive language skills
of our students. Let's make sure people know who we are and what we do!
Let me know asap so we can get a slot for your language on the program.
Thanks,
Nathan
