Hallo zusammen,

Thanks to all of you who attended Oktoberfest on Monday. It was lovely meeting some of you in person and connecting over Spaghettieis, trivia and polkas.

I hope to see you again tomorrow (Thursday) from 3-4pm at the in person Stammtisch / German conversation hour. We will be meeting again at El Rincon, the corner in front of the MH Building closest to the JPL Library. This is an informal space where we can speak German and discuss German-related topics in English. All language levels are welcome!

One thing I'd like to discuss is your interest in a faculty-led study abroad program to Germany for summer 2023. I started creating a program in Dresden for 2020, which was cancelled for the pandemic. I'm considering reviving this and perhaps combining it with programing from the university in our sister city, Darmstadt. This would be open to non-German speakers as well as German language learners.

Viele Grüße,
Dr. D
