Here's a reminder about tomorrow's two German events: Stammtisch and Wurstfest. Details are below and attached.
Please sign up for
Wurstfest so I can send any last-minute details to participants only (instead of spamming this list or Blackboard). There are a few people offering to carpool, so contact each other to coordinate. We can also use the GroupMe to find each other in real
time.
One last note: I am trying to sleep off a sore throat, but if it gets worse, I'll have to skip both events tomorrow. In that case, please still meet as a group, I'll send an "assignment" like a photo scavenger hunt, and I'll figure out an alternative way to
transfer the $20 (probably Venmo or mailing a check).

Next Thursday, Nov. 10, will see two in-person events for UTSA German.
We'll have our last
in-person
Stammtisch of the semester from 1:30-2:30pm at the white tables in front of the Flawn Sciences Building.
Then we'll head over to New Braunfels to attend
Wurstfest
as a group. See the attached flier for more details, to sign up, and to self-organize carpools. The most relevant info and links are copied below.

Cash stipend: Up to 15 UTSA students will receive $20 to use towards food, parking, and gas. To qualify for the stipend, students must be enrolled in a German class or have a meaningful German connection.
Meet Dr. D at 5:30pm and/or 6:30pm in the back of das kleine Zelt (#1 on the
map) to join the group and get your cash stipend. We’ll be free to wander together after that or reconnect using GroupMe.
