Use of Common Areas – One River Walk Place
by Roxanne Cuevas
***SENT ON BEHALF OF ONE RIVERWALK PLACE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT***
Dear UTSA Students,
We would like to address student use of the common areas at One River Walk Place.
While the Riverwalk courtyard is available and encouraged for student use, we ask that the first-floor lobby not be used as a study area, meeting space, or general gathering spot. The lobby is intended exclusively for commercial office tenants and their clients, and we want to ensure it remains a professional environment for that purpose.
Please consider utilizing the UTSA Student Union Space on the 4th floor of One Riverwalk Place, which has been specifically configured to support student study and downtime needs.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a positive experience for all building occupants.
Sincerely,
Property Management

UTSA Parking at One River Walk Place
by Roxanne Cuevas
***SENT ON BEHALF OF ONE RIVERWALK PLACE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT***
Dear UTSA Students,
This is a friendly reminder regarding parking assignments at One River Walk Place.
*
Levels 4, 5, and 6 are designated for UTSA student and faculty parking.
*
Levels 1, 2, and 3 are reserved exclusively for commercial office tenants and their clients.
We understand that Campus Services has communicated this information when permits were issued, and it is also available on the SA+P website (School of Architecture + Planning | Klesse College | UT San Antonio).
Recently, however, we have observed UTSA vehicles parking on levels reserved for commercial tenants. This has caused ongoing concerns for our tenants and their clients.
To ensure proper use of the garage, beginning next week, vehicles parked on levels 1–3 without authorization will be subject to warnings and citations.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a positive experience for all building occupants.
Sincerely,
Property Management

Arc and IDE Student Volunteer Opportunity
by Roxanne Cuevas
** SENT ON BEHALF OF MARCO KURITA **
Greetings,
Interior design and architecture student volunteers are needed for UTSA's Southwest Campus KIDS 5th Grade Fall Program. Volunteers will collaborate with an instructor at a partnering elementary school, assisting with both instruction and the day’s planned activity. The program is rooted in architecture and planning, introducing 5th graders to foundational concepts such as figure/ground, neighborhood program, and visualization through drawing and craft-based exercises.
Participation is not only a valuable way to be good neighbors with UTSA Southwest Campus, but also within San Antonio’s public schools. It is a great opportunity to experience the joy of lively charrettes with elementary-age children, who often bring fresh and imaginative perspectives to architectural ideas.
Sessions meet once per week over a 10-week period, with each lesson lasting 90 minutes. All materials and curriculum will be provided by the KIDS Program.
The program begins September 22nd with orientation the week prior.
If at all interested, or want more details, please contact me marco.kurita(a)utsa.edu
Many thanks,
Marco Kurita

Wood Shop and Laser Cutters
by Roxanne Cuevas
** SENT ON BEHALF OF PATRICK PAGE-SUTTER **
We've received reports that rumors are going around that the Wood Shop and Laser Cutters are not operational. This is misinformation and false. The Wood shop and laser cutters are open and running as normal. Students will need to come to MNT to access those resources. If they have questions they can reach out to Patrick Page-Sutter or Chrissy Page-Sutter, or stop by the print lab on the 7th floor of ORP to get more information. Let me know if you have problems with card access to the MNT building.
Thank you.
