This is a reminder that applications for the 2025-26 cohort of the Klesse Emerging Leaders (KEL) Leadership Program close this Friday, May 2nd! This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your unique leadership identity and gain valuable experience that will set you apart as an exceptional leader.
The KEL Leadership Program is designed to empower students with the tools, education, and support necessary to grow as leaders. If you are a sophomore (with juniors, seniors, and graduate students eligible to apply), we encourage you to consider joining this transformative experience.

Here’s what the program entails:
* Commitment: Participate throughout the academic year (September 2025 - April 2026)
* Required Reading: Read Dare to Lead in the Fall (book will be provided)
* Biweekly Meetings: Attend biweekly meetings and workshops
* Student Org Leadership Summit: Attend the Summit in August 2025
* Capstone Project: Complete a Synthesis paper and Poster
* Reflection: Complete a reflection form at the end of the program

Summer 2025 Undergraduate Research Program Application-Now Open

Dear Students,
We are now accepting applications for the Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design UG Research Program for summer 2025. This program will provide $1000 per semester (2 installments of $500) in funding for students doing research with faculty in the Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design. Students interested in participating should visit this link<https://utsa.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_a5GoKV6YhHiDcY6> to complete their application. Please note you must have a faculty member who has agreed to mentor you in their lab prior to submitting the application. You are required to enter the faculty member's information in the application and their confirmation is required prior to final acceptance. The application deadline is 5:00 pm on Friday, June 6th at 5:00 pm.
To qualify for the program you must be a student in KCEID and working with a faculty mentor from one of our Departments/Schools. Notifications will be made via email the week of June 16th.
Undergraduate Research is a fantastic way to apply what you are learning inside the classroom to a real-world project. It also looks great on your resume and helps to build meaningful relationships with our wonderful faculty! If you have questions regarding the program please contact me via email.
Please be considerate of faculty when approaching them regarding serving as a Faculty Mentor. It is recommended that you email them regarding your interest in their research and request a time when you could meet with them to learn more. Information regarding faculty backgrounds and research areas is available on the College website under Divisions/Research.
