Potential PD Modules for bilingual/EL/EB special

Dr. Burke- wants to create a PD Module/Series for Project LEER around these areas: o
Language (Eslami & BP) o Academic (Boon) o Behavior (Burke & Padilla &
Sanchez) Please provide potential topics for this 6 module series, and the order you think
they should be introduced to the participants. Ideally, they would enroll in this PD
series, and receive monthly PD from our team. ex of topics: Overview of MTSS, Supporting
Emergent Bilinguals (EBs) with disabilities, Engaging EB families in our classrooms, What
are Evidence-Based Practices?, etc.

o follow up again with Marshall teachers to get access to pacing and curriculum guide
o Email Mr. Halle about accessing student data for those who signed IRB
o Pick up IRB forms on Friday

o will send updated draft of Feb 15th PD training this evening to team
o Baylor needs to update consent form- send corrected version to BP & Boon upon
approval
o Need stipend form to give to Boon ASAP

o Need 3 rooms for APBS, waiting to hear from Kathy

o Schedule date and time for a 3hr PD for MTSS coaches from New Caney ISD
